History of BFL
The Baker Free Library was a gift from the Honorable Henry M. Baker.
Honorable Henry M. Baker, successful attorney, United States Congressman, New Hampshire State Senator, historian, writer, public speaker.
The Town’s acceptance of his 1912 bequest of land, monies to construct the building, and his personal book collection created a successful private-public partnership that has endured through the present day.
