Town Meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday 3/12/14 at 7 p.m. in the BHS auditorium. The Library Trustees have submitted one article to the warrant regarding the Lower Level project:
Article 12: To raise and appropriate $150,000 to be added to the Library Lower Level Capital Reserve Fund previously established.
This article placed monies toward the renovation of the Library’s lower level. Previously, the town approved $32,000 in 2012 (for architectural renderings and project cost approximation) and $50,000 in 2013 (towards the actual renovation costs). The Library Trustees are actively fundraising, with approximately $75,000 raised to date out of the $300,000 private fundraising goal. The total project cost is estimated at $600,000 (2013). The estimated tax impact of this warrant article is $0.14 per thousand (or $35 on a $250,000 home).
